SayCooee is designed to help communities connect, share, swap, support local and buy together.
To help keep the community safe and trusted, some things cannot be listed, requested, offered, sold, swapped, promoted or organised through SayCooee.
These rules apply to Cooees, sharing and swaps, skills, Local Groups, Community Buys, Supplier offers, business listings and other activity on the Platform.
If content breaches this policy, SayCooee may decline, edit or remove it, restrict Platform functionality, suspend an account or take other reasonable action to protect the community.
Anything that is illegal under applicable Australian law is prohibited.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Something being offered for free or as a swap does not make it permitted if it would otherwise be unlawful.
The following must not be listed, requested, sold, swapped or supplied through SayCooee:
SayCooee may also remove other items where we reasonably believe their listing or exchange presents an unacceptable safety risk.
The following are prohibited:
Alcohol must not be offered, sold, supplied, swapped or included in a Community Buy unless the Supplier and the proposed arrangement comply with all applicable licensing, age-verification and other legal requirements and SayCooee has expressly approved the offer.
Community members must not use ordinary member-to-member Cooees or swaps to circumvent liquor licensing or other alcohol laws.
SayCooee may decline alcohol-related listings at its discretion where we are not satisfied the proposed arrangement can be operated appropriately through the Platform.
SayCooee is a community-focused platform.
The following are prohibited:
The safety of children is extremely important.
SayCooee must never be used to:
SayCooee accounts are for people aged 18 and over.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for conducting appropriate checks before engaging tutors, babysitters, carers, coaches or other people who may interact with children.
SayCooee can help people share knowledge and skills, but it must not be used to circumvent professional licensing, registration or regulatory requirements.
A person must not represent themselves as qualified to provide a regulated service unless they are legally entitled to do so.
This may include services involving:
Informal community help is different from representing yourself as a qualified professional.
For example, showing someone how you grow tomatoes is not the same as providing regulated professional advice.
Where a licence, registration, permit or qualification is legally required, the person providing the service is responsible for having it.
SayCooee must not be used to promote:
Legitimate businesses may advertise or participate through appropriate SayCooee business features, subject to our Terms.
Do not list, sell, give away or swap products that you know or reasonably should know are unsafe.
This may include:
If you become aware that something you have listed has been recalled or is unsafe, remove the listing and notify SayCooee where appropriate.
Food can be shared, sold or included in Community Buys only where doing so complies with applicable laws and food-safety requirements.
Businesses and Suppliers selling food are responsible for any required:
Community members offering homemade food must also comply with laws that apply to their particular activity.
Do not offer food you know or reasonably suspect is contaminated, unsafe or unsuitable for consumption.
SayCooee must not be used for:
SayCooee may restrict or decline animal-related listings where appropriate for community safety or animal welfare.
SayCooee does not permit content or activity involving:
People can disagree. They cannot use SayCooee to abuse or threaten others.
The following are prohibited:
Do not publish another person's private information without their permission.
This may include:
You must not use personal information obtained through SayCooee for unrelated marketing, harassment, fraud or another unauthorised purpose.
SayCooee may remove or prohibit a Cooee, Group activity, service or other listing where the proposed activity presents an unreasonable risk of serious injury or harm.
People organising recreational, sporting, community or other activities remain responsible for ensuring those activities comply with applicable laws and for considering appropriate safety measures, qualifications, supervision and insurance.
Local Groups listed through SayCooee must not be primarily established or used for:
A Group listed on SayCooee may operate independently from the Platform, but SayCooee may remove its listing if we reasonably believe the Group is inconsistent with these standards.
Businesses and Suppliers using SayCooee must:
Suppliers participating in Community Buys must also comply with the SayCooee Supplier Agreement and Community Buy Terms.
A product being commercially available elsewhere does not automatically mean SayCooee is required to allow it in a Community Buy.
SayCooee may decline a proposed Community Buy where we reasonably believe the product, Supplier, fulfilment arrangement or promotion presents an unacceptable legal, safety, operational or community risk.
Suppliers must not use Community Buys to sell products that cannot lawfully be sold or supplied in the manner proposed.
You must not attempt to:

If something isn't specifically mentioned above, that doesn't automatically mean it is permitted.
SayCooee may decline or remove content where we reasonably believe it:
Where appropriate, we may ask for more information before deciding whether something can be listed.
Where we reasonably believe this policy has been breached, SayCooee may:
Where appropriate, we may give the person an opportunity to correct or explain the issue.
Serious unlawful activity or immediate safety concerns may also be referred to the appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.
If you see a Cooee, listing, Community Buy, Group or other activity that you believe is unsafe, illegal, misleading or prohibited, please report it.
Include enough information for us to identify the content and understand your concern.
